What is the most common cause of a running toilet leak?

The most common cause of a running toilet is a worn or mis-seated flapper that fails to seal the tank. An out-of-adjustment or failing fill valve is another frequent cause. Our plumbers replace faulty flappers and adjust the fill valve to stop the run and reduce water waste. Same-day help is available in Kokomo and Frankfort.

Quick checks:

  • Watch for water trickling into the bowl after the tank fills.
  • If overflow risks, shut off the supply; we can coach you by phone.
